Creepage Distance IEC and IEEE
The shortest distance between the high and low voltage points along the external insulating surface of an arresters weathersheds. Creepage distance is also referred to as the leakage or creep distance. The creepage distance and surface characteristics determine the power-frequency withstand of an insulator.
